Laser hair removal is a series of treatments aimed at significantly reducing hair growth without affecting the surrounding skin.  Laser energy is directed to the hair itself and destroys the hair cells.  Our laser hair system offers state of the art In-Motion technique which allows for virtually painless, yet highly effective hair removal.  There is no need for anesthetic gels or creams prior to the procedure. Laser hair removal is safe, fast, and effective.

How Laser Hair Removal Works

During laser hair removal, the laser emits energy that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair.   The energy converts to heat and damages the follicles that produce hair.  The darker the hair, the better the results.   Laser hair removal will not be effective for white, grey, or red hair.

It is generally recommended to avoid plucking, waxing, depilatories, and electrolysis for 4-6 weeks prior to a session.  The treatment area should be shaved a day in advance.  Skin should be free of any topical products the day of the procedure.

There is no anesthetic gel or cream required for our laser hair removal treatments.  As the laser passes over the treatment area, the hairs become warm but are immediately cooled with the In Motion technique. While skin might be slightly red immediately following the procedure, this should resolve within a few hours.  There is no downtime so clients can resume normal activities immediately following a treatment.  Sunscreen is encouraged to be applied on any sun exposed skin.

Laser hair removal is technically semi-permanent.  Some hair follicles may not be affected by the laser.  Some hair might regrow due to hormonal issues.  However, the vast majority of patients see a significant thinning of hair and decrease in hair growth.
